Reflections of Flight

2019 was my 5th year for photographing the Albuquerque Internation Balloon Fiesta.  Hot air balloons are one of my all-time favorite things to photograph and one day I dream of owning one.  Flying in them is an amazing dream-like experience that I can't get enough of.  But after thousands of photos, how do I show the balloons in a new fashion?

Several years ago, I was watching the balloons and in front of a small decorative pond.  I became fascinated with the reflections of the balloons as they flew overhead.  The next thing you know I am taking more photos of the balloons reflected in the water than in the air.  It has become one of my favorite series of photos and in fact every year, I make sure I take a few to add to the series.
